Stephen (Steve) C. Guerber

A mass communications graduate of Idaho State University, Steve began his career in alumni relations.  He served US West for thirteen years, including five years as Information Director for the US West Foundation in a 14-state region.  Steve served three and a half years as President and Executive Director of the Idaho Community Foundation, a period of significant growth for the foundation.  Most recently, Steve held the position of Executive Director and State Historic Preservation Officer with the Idaho State Historical Society for ten years.

Steve served as Mayor of the city of Eagle, Idaho from 1987 to 1994, and as a City Councilman from 1983 to 1986 and from 1996 to 2009.  He also served as Legislative Chairman for the Association of Idaho Cities, a member of the Governing Council of the American Association for State and Local History, and as a member of the Legislative Committee of the National Council on Foundations.

 

Carol Gustad, CPA

Carol serves as fiscal and administrative officer.  She oversees the financial operations, human resources, information technology, national standards, administration, and facilities of the Foundation. She maintains official records and ensures Foundation compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Carol Gustad has been with the Foundation since 2001.  Carol is a licensed CPA and has work experience with public, private and nonprofit businesses. A graduate of both Mankato State University and Moorhead State University, Carol holds degrees in Business Administration and Accounting.

 

Cher Hersrud
Advancement Officer

Cher is responsible for the grants, scholarship, development, and nonprofit services of the Foundation.  She oversees promotional efforts, donor services, publications, communications and website, special programs, community/special events, and nonprofit services.
 

Hersrud joined the Foundation in June, 2008, after ten years of managing a statewide program for rural nonprofit organizations and communities. She has more than twenty years of experience within the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors, and has received three fellowships for national research related to community foundations and charitable gaming in North Dakota.



Stanna Flom
Administrative Assistant

Stanna serves as board secretary and provides administrative support to the Executive Director.  She also assists the Advancement Officer and Director of Finance. In addition, she is responsible for database maintenance and visitor services.

Prior to joining FMAF, she was office manager at NDSU Center for 4-H for five years. Stanna also has twelve years of loan operations experience and holds a secretarial associate degree.


 

Pat Jorgensen
Women's Fund Fundraising Manager

Pat Jorgensen is the fundraising specialist for the Women's Fund.  Pat has previously worked for the Fargo School District, CHARISM, Fargo Park District and Plains Art Museum and raised funds in support of many projects and events through her nonprofit work.  She was very involved with New American women and children through her work at CHARISM.  Pat was also one of the founding organizers and fundraisers of KidFest, which has grown to be a successful annual community event.
