Giving Through FMAF

Since 1960, donors have used the FM Area Foundation to support their favorite charities throughout the Cass-Clay region and beyond. Whether your interest is supporting food insecurities, scholarships, the arts, or another wonderful cause, we will help you achieve your charitable giving and donation goals.

We offer various giving and donating options, such as Donor Advised Funds, where you make an initial gift and then recommend grants from the fund to nonprofits. Endowing your fund is a great way to leave a legacy and ensure the organizations you care about are supported year after year, even after you’re gone.

If you’d like to make a difference but don’t know where to start, we are available to meet with you to provide advice and inspiration for donating and giving back to the community. If you are working with a financial advisor, estate planner, accountant, or another professional advisor, we’d be happy to provide them with information.

Power of Endowment

An endowment is a tool for generous people to support the charities and causes that matter to them—not just today but forever. At its core, an endowment is a special financial fund that is invested to create steady, predictable charitable resources that continue for generations to come.

Local Knowledge.

In working closely with nonprofit organizations in our area, we understand the needs of the community. We can guide you through the giving process or help facilitate a donation.

Simplicity.

Not all gifts are created equal. Beyond direct cash donations, we have the expertise and flexibility to accept complex donations such as stock transfers, real estate, or even personal property. For those seeking to establish a new fund, the process is simple, straightforward, and free.

Flexibility.

We offer several different fund options to suit the various needs of our donors. But more importantly, we're here to help you make your gifts as personal and fulfilling as possible. No matter what you are passionate about, we provide a flexible means for you to give.
