Caring Catalog

The Caring Catalog is an online giving platform powered by the FM Area Foundation to help connect community members with local nonprofits during the holiday season.

Starting in 2018, the FM Area Foundation initiated its annual Caring Catalog to highlight local charities in our community during the most generous part of the year. Over its short time in existence, the Caring Catalog has raised nearly $750,000 for over 150 local charities. As it has grown, the FM Area Foundation has sought ways to increase the impact to our local community. Through feedback and conversations, we have determined that our best way forward is to provide our community with a more focused approach to local impact.

How Does The Caring Catalog Work?
Why Are We Doing This?

As the community foundation serving the Cass-Clay region, the FM Area Foundation aims to encourage philanthropy in our community and celebrate the nonprofits doing important work every day.

Donate Through The Caring Catalog

When giving through the Caring Catalog, you can make multiple gifts in one transaction. All gifts are tax-deductible. We accept:

Your Tax Deduction

You will receive an email confirmation of your gift immediately after your donation, and a second detailed tax receipt will follow. If you do not see it come through, check your junk mail or contact our office.

We will share your contact information with the organization(s) you support so they can send you special recognition and thanks. If you do not wish to have your information shared, you can choose to be anonymous and we’ll keep your donation private. PLEASE NOTE: The nonprofits will not receive your donation information until the end of the campaign, so thank you’s may be delayed.

Give From Your FM Area Foundation Donor Advised Fund

If you have a donor-advised fund at the FM Area Foundation, you can support nonprofits participating in the Caring Catalog easily and directly from your account online. Log in, click “Caring Catalog,” and enter the donation amount for the nonprofits you want to support. It’s fast, easy and fun! Learn more about donor-advised funds.
